Dan-Dan Hammer-Zheng

Artist Director of „RheinKlassik Veranstaltungen“ in Cologne, Germany and Director Member of Overseas Exchanges Association in Zhong-Shan, China.
Dan-Dan Hammer-Zheng was born in 1981 in Guang-Dong Province China and started her first piano lesson at the age of nine. After few years she won 2. prize of „Hao-Jing- Bei“ Piano competition in Zhong-Shan and 3. prize of „Zhu-Jiang-Bei“ Piano competition in Guang-Zhou.
She studied from 1994 in The Middle School attached to Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing under Prof. Wu Yuan. After her graduration with highest prize in 1999, she continued her study in Cologne Germany (Hochschule für Musik Köln) with one of the most famous concert pianists Prof. Pi- hsien Chen. She graduated her Master-Degree in 2004 with the highest score. She continued her Concert-Performance-Artist Degree unter Prof. James Tocco in Musikhochschule Luebeck. She also took lessons with Pianist Bruno Leonardo Gelber, as well as V. Krainev, M. Beroff, D. Kraus, O. Yablonskaya, Hans Leygraf, R.Young and N.Shetler. She was stipendiary of Karin-Schütz and DAAD foundation.
She won the „5. International Muenchner Klavierpodium der Jugend“, Publicprize, Schott-prize for the best interpretation of contemporary music, Pennarzprize for debut concert which recommened by competition founder Mr. S. Gourari. After her concert, the press mentioned many times about „her special Art of playing Beethoven“, „ classic and romantic melting in Brahms“, and „coddle by sound of Debussy“.
In 2005, she won the 4th prize at 12. International Brahms Music Competition in Poertschach am Woerter See in Austria. In 2009 Special Prize by Perrenoud Foundation in Vienna and in 2017 she won the 2. Prize at Dichtler Competition at “Wiener MusikSeminar” (University of Music and performing arts Vienna).
She gave concerts in Beijing Concert hall and recorded for „China Piano Grading Test“. She played the piano pieces „Ta-Shan-Ji“ for the very important chinese composer Mr. Li-San Wang before she played its premier in Beijing Theater. In Germany She gave concerts in Steinway-Haus Duesseldorf, Thuermer-Saal Bochum, Bechstein-Zentrum Cologne, and in 2002 at the Klavier Festival Ruhr for piano pieces of John Cage and Earle Brown. In 2006 she performed as solist with chamber orchestra for contemporary music from Indonesia. She played Duo concerts with clarinetist Shelly Ezra (prize winner of ARD Music competition) and made audio recording for NDR Kultur.
She was invited to perform Rachmaninoff 2.Concerto with Youth Symphony Orchestra of University Koblenz in the Electoral Palace and with Russian Lipetzk National Symphony Orchestra at Germany-Russian Culture Festival. At the Masterclass of Mr. Michel Beroff she was the only one pianist who was chosen to play in Auditorium du Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain in Nice, France.
In 2008 she was Artist at Menuhin Music Foundation „live music now“. She performaned contemporary music on Piano and Cembalo with most important conductor Mr. Frank Ollu and IEMA Orchestra in Austria and Italy.
She settled down in Cologne Germany since 2009, often be invited to perform for serveral City Events in NRW.
In 2012 she was honored to give concert with her teacher Prof. Pi-hsien Chen in Kolumba Museum Cologne for composer Mr. Manos Tsangaris' work. Also she was invited to play in Golden Hall Vienna with chinese Orchestra. As Visiting Professor of Piano Academy in Shen-Zhen and Zhong-Shan, she will give lectures and concerts there regularly.
Since 2013 she is Founder of „RheinKlassik Veranstaltungen“, offering masterclasses, lectures, concerts and competitions through cooperation with Alink-Argerich Foundation for young pianists at classical music.
2014 -2016 she is Piano Teacher in Music School in Cologne, and takes part to music therapy lectures. 2015-2016 she is Music Teacher of Music Foundation Germany for Project „Jekits“. From 2017 She gave regularly Concerts, Masterclasses and Lectures as Competition Jury member in many cities in China.
